Using 1-inch thick insulation foam, the author shows what he did to build removable background mountains for his layout. It is mostly a pictorial article, describing the building, carving, and painting of the foam. Included are photos showing the various tools used to shape the foam, and how a 2x4 was used to provide the stiffness for the foam.
