The kit consists of flat brass etchings, some cast white metal parts, screws, nuts, and an instruction booklet. Note that the kit box may state "O scale". The modeler needs to provide everything else to complete this model. AAR Type B trucks are one option (these are the same as American Models' RS-3). Consider tinning the rear of the stanchions to stiffen them, before removing them from the etching. Motor mounts are provided for American Models trucks, or for Black Beetle and NWSL's Stanton Drive type of trucks. The kit is available with the early hood latches (SCL, NdM, SBD, CSX, PICK) or the later type (MEC, P&W, etc). Note that the S-scale model manufacturer Century Models has additional or replacement 3D-printed parts available for this model, if you wish to customize yours.
