This operating car is controlled via an external button interface and the use of a track trip. When the button is pressed, the side panel falls down, and the entire body tilts over to that side, thereby unloading everything that it contains. The car came with a 4" x 6" metal tray with raised edges which would catch whatever the car dumped. The car came in two versions. In the second photo you can see the plastic-body version that was only produced in 1950. The car in the back of the photo is the metal-body version which was made from 1950 through 1954.
