Ed Kirstatter added Kadee #808 S-scale couplers, cut levers, American Models trucks, AB brakes by Liberty Models, and some leftover Enhorning SR-46 decals (restored with Microscale Liquid Decal film). The car was painted with three colors of Scalecoat II.

This kit could be made into a box car or a reefer. The kit provides precision-cut parts, which give the modeler a solid foundation from which to make the final model.

Ed Kirstatter built his into a reefer. He added Northeastern's Andrew trucks, Kadee 808 couplers. Ed used 3D-printed parts for the ratchet wheel-n-pawl on the brakeman's step and its shaft's stirrup below. Using those cast metal doors and ends makes a heavy model.
