Ed Kirstatter painted his model with ScaleCoat #2013 box car red. He used decals from Champion, Enhorning, and Midgage. He completed the model using Kadee S-scale #808 couplers, and Northeastern Scale Models sprung Bettendorf trucks.

Shown are the metal AB brake system parts that come with the kit, as well as the metal wire needed to form the piping, rods, and also the grab irons. The kit also includes a sheet of brass from which the modeler can form the levers and slack adjuster.
