Notes:
Originally known as the "Loizeaux Passenger Truck", there was one production run of about 400 pair in the late 1970s. The kit was designed and created by Ed Loizeaux using modified commercially available parts. The sideframes are modified Enhorning sideframes with details removed, the wheelsets are from the Robert Miller Laboratories, the brass bearings were shoelace eyelets, the air cylinder used an HO tender part for the master casting pattern and the springs were Kadee HO-scale parts. After completion of the first production run, tooling and leftover parts were acquired by Graham Henry doing business under the name of Fine Scale Trains. Graham made another production run (maybe two?) and then retired the product. While detailing is somewhat crude by today's standards, the trucks were fully equalized, and rolled freely down a 2% grade. All this long before needle-pointed axles were introduced into model railroad trucks. The model in the photo was prepared and assembled by Ed Loizeaux. See the Supplemental link for a PDF of the original instruction sheets.
