New to this web site, but has apparently been around for a while, eBay store "sparks00033", based in De Forest, Wisconsin, sells roadbed material in various scales, including S. The material is a dense foam that offers sound-absorption. These are flexible strips that can be bent without the need for slitting. The material does not harden over time. Contact the company to have them ship you a free sample. They have 6-foot lengths available in both gray and black that are 1/4" thick, measuring 2-1/8" at the top and 2-5/8" at the bottom in their width. These are available in 5-, 7-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 30-, and 50-packs. They also have 4-foot lengths available in both gray and black that are 3/8" thick, measuring 2" at the top and 2-3/4" at the bottom in their width. These are available in 5- and 15-packs. Lastly, they have a 10-pack of 6-foot lengths of roadbed specifically designed for Lionel's Fastrack that is 1/4" thick, measuring 2-5/8" at the top and 3-1/8" at the bottom in their width. They do offer custom-cuts, if you have a special need.
