Jeff is relatively new to the S community and trains and has only been able to attend the NASG Convention in the past few years. His interest in S is unlike others, as it did not come from childhood and having trains. He grew up on a farm/ranch in South Dakota and collected farm toys of all scales, but primarily 1:64. When he decided to build a diorama for his 1:64 farm toys about 10 years ago, he thought it might be neat to add a train at a grain elevator. It was at that time he discovered S, found a local club, SMSG, and then the interest in building a diorama quickly changed to building an entire layout so as not to just have a static train, but a running one! The layout was originally going to be in a bedroom in the house, but when he built a shop in 2020 for working on vehicles, he added a loft where he has recently started to construct his layout. Jeff has assembled a team of experienced Convention organizers.

Gaylord has had an interest in trains for nearly 80 years. Following childhood experiences with American Flyer, he resumed the hobby in the 1970s. He joined the SMSG club a year after it was formed, and in 1982 he joined both the NASG and the NMRA. From that point on, all of Gaylord's modeling has been in scale-S. He especially enjoys kit-bashing and scratch-building structures, and his models have won prizes and been featured in full-length magazine articles. Gaylord has been on the planning committees of each of the four prior NASG Conventions that the SMSG club has hosted. He currently serves as the NASG's Standards Committee Chairman.

Peter started in the hobby of model railroading in the mid-1970s in N-scale. After college, marriage, and the start of his career, he returned to the hobby in 1999, again in N-scale. In 2008 he saw the light and switched to S-scale. Professionally, Peter is a software engineer specializing in Windows programming in C++, which he started in 1990. In 2001 he left the corporate world and started Fourth Ray Software, which now offers over 25 easy-to-use software products. Peter has been maintaining web sites since 1994. In late 2011 he was asked to take over the management of the NASG's main web site. He maintains a dedicated web site for his model railroading activities, as well as web sites for several small businesses. Contact Peter if you have any issues with the web site, itself. If you have any other questions related to the Convention, please contact one of the people above.
